Application Overview


Historically, most DSP markets have been compute-bound  –  products improve as more processing power becomes economically available. This model shows no signs of changing, and with risk mitigation and lower development costs becoming increasingly important, a standards-based software-driven model offers compelling advantages.

Storm-1 delivers the compute performance of a dozen traditional DSPs, and with industry-leading price/performance, power-efficiency, and scalable, C-programmable architecture customers can leapfrog multi-DSP and FPGA-based solutions while reducing BOM and development costs.

New functionality can be developed and introduced in a matter of days or weeks, not months or years.
